Oracle Cloud Financials Senior Principal Consultant Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview Mako Professionals' client, an established Oracle consulting partner, is seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Financials Senior Principal Consultant to join its North American consulting organization as a full-time employee.
This consultant will lead complex, global Oracle Cloud Financials implementation projects from initial discovery and solution design through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. The role will serve as a senior functional leader, helping clients modernize financial processes, design scalable Oracle Cloud solutions, and improve the performance of their finance organizations.
The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle Cloud Financials expertise with strong accounting knowledge, consulting experience, and client leadership skills. This person should be comfortable leading global design workshops, advising senior business stakeholders, managing cross-functional delivery teams, and translating complex financial requirements into practical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the definition, design, and delivery of Oracle Cloud Financials solutions.
- Manage Oracle Cloud Financials implementation projects from initial discovery through deployment and stabilization.
- Partner with clients to understand business requirements, operational challenges, accounting needs, and long-term objectives.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient, and supportable Oracle Cloud solutions.
- Facilitate global design workshops, requirements sessions, process reviews, conference room pilots, and stakeholder presentations.
- Design comprehensive financial system architectures using Oracle Cloud Financials applications.
- Develop current-state and future-state business process flows using Oracle leading practices.
- Lead functional design, process design, configuration, prototyping, testing, training, deployment, and support planning activities.
- Provide guidance on Oracle Cloud Financials functionality, implementation standards, and industry best practices.
- Design and validate enterprise structures, charts of accounts, accounting configurations, and financial reporting structures.
- Identify functional gaps and develop appropriate configuration, integration, reporting, or process solutions.
- Collaborate with Oracle HCM, SCM, PPM, technical, integration, and data teams to ensure accurate financial application integration.
- Evaluate the accounting impact of transactions and integrations across enterprise applications.
- Lead and mentor functional consultants while coordinating work across onsite and offshore delivery teams.
- Manage project priorities, risks, timelines, deliverables, and client expectations.
- Build strong relationships with client executives, finance leaders, business users, and technical stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement of implementation methodologies, templates, tools, and consulting practices.

Required Qualifications
- Extensive Oracle Financials consulting and implementation experience.
- Deep functional expertise with Oracle Cloud Financials applications, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Financial Reporting.
- Hands-on experience completing at least five full-cycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
- Experience leading global or enterprise-scale Oracle Cloud implementation projects.
- Strong understanding of financial business processes, accounting principles, controls, and industry standards.
- Experience designing and implementing end-to-end Oracle Cloud financial architectures.
- Expertise designing charts of accounts, enterprise structures, legal entities, business units, ledgers, and Trading Community Architecture.
- Experience conducting requirements workshops, solution design sessions, process reviews, and conference room pilots.
- Strong understanding of the Oracle SaaS implementation lifecycle, including:
