Summary

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Venue Telecom Service Manager (VTSM) in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities:
* Serve as the primary on-site leader for all telecom and network-related operations at the venue
* Act as the first line of triage for network issues-quickly assessing and routing tickets to the appropriate technical teams (network, security, broadcast, etc.)
* Lead the planning, installation, testing, and operational readiness of telecom infrastructure including WAN, LAN, WLAN, VoIP, and mobile networks
* Serve as the 'tip of the spear' for identifying and escalating on-site network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
* Maintain a broad understanding of Cisco LAN and wireless technologies to effectively coordinate with engineering teams
* Understand and align telecom operations with both physical and virtual security requirements
* Build and manage a diverse team of contractors, engineers, and volunteers to support venue technology services
* Coordinate with the Cluster Telecom Service Manager to align venue execution with broader cluster strategies
* Monitor risks, manage incidents, and escalate unresolved issues to the Technology Operations Center (TOC)
* Maintain meticulous documentation and provide regular updates on progress, issues, and resolutions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Information Technology, Event Operations) preferred
* Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus
* 5+ years of experience in operations, project management, or technology coordination roles-preferably in live event or venue environments
* Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and manage high-pressure situations with confidence
* Familiarity with telecommunications and IT infrastructure; A solid understanding of networking (especially Cisco LAN/WLAN) and security concepts is strongly preferred
* Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of maintaining focus and precision under pressure
* Organizational excellence: Plans ahead, sequences complex activities, documents obsessively, and keeps the venue -audit-ready- at all times
* People & communication: Clear, confident communicator under pressure; able to lead bridge calls, coach all on-site staff, and brief executives with equal fluency
* Customer focus: Anticipates venue operations needs; Navigates trade-offs to protect the event experience
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
