Overview
We are seeking an IT Reporting Lead to drive the design, development, and deployment of reporting and analytics solutions within Workday. This role is responsible for ensuring business stakeholders have access to accurate, timely, and actionable insights across HR, Finance, and operational data.
The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business and technical teams, leading reporting strategy, data governance, and successful implementation within a complex, enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
<>Workday Reporting Implementation>
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday reporting and analytics solutions
- Design and develop standard, advanced, and composite Workday reports
- Configure dashboards, scorecards, and KPIs for HR, Finance, and leadership teams
<>Solution Design & Data Modeling>
- Translate business requirements into scalable reporting solutions and data models
- Design calculated fields, data sources, and reporting logic within Workday
- Ensure reusable, efficient, and scalable reporting frameworks
<>Analytics & Insights>
- Deliver actionable insights through dashboards and data visualizations
- Support workforce analytics, financial reporting, and operational metrics
- Partner with stakeholders to define, track, and optimize KPIs
<>Data Governance & Quality>
- Establish reporting standards, naming conventions, and governance frameworks
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reports
- Perform data validation and reconciliation with source systems
<>Security & Access Control>
- Implement role-based security for reports and dashboards
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and confidentiality requirements
- Manage report access, sharing, and distribution controls
<>Integration & Data Extraction>
- Collaborate with IT to enable data extraction and downstream integrations
- Support integrations with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Manage data feeds, APIs, and reporting interfaces
<>Testing & Deployment>
- Lead unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Validate reporting outputs against business requirements
- Support go-live and post-implementation (hypercare) activities
<>Stakeholder Engagement & Training>
- Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and leadership teams to gather requirements
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Workday reporting capabilities
- Train end users and drive adoption of self-service reporting tools
- Develop documentation and user guides
Qualifications
<>Required>
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
- 6–10+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or HRIS/ERP systems
- Hands-on experience with Workday reporting (HCM and/or Financials)
- Strong understanding of data modeling, reporting tools, and analytics
<>Preferred>
- Workday Reporting Certification
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts
- Experience supporting large-scale Workday implementations
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira or ServiceNow
