System Administrator

Location: Durham, NC
Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $80.00 USD Hourly
Description: Our client is currently seeking a System Administrator

seeking an IT-focused Systems Support Analyst to support MSAT (Manufacturing Science & Technology) systems used in manufacturing and process analytics environments.

This role sits at the intersection of IT and manufacturing systems and will focus on troubleshooting system-to-system integrations, supporting users, and maintaining system connectivity across key platforms.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically curious, and comfortable working across multiple systems to diagnose and resolve issues quickly.

Key Responsibilities

System Integration & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot system-to-system communication issues across MSAT platforms

Support integrations between systems such as:

SIMCA

Statistica

Data historians (OSI PI or similar)

Identify and resolve data flow, connectivity, and interface issues

Work with IT and business teams to ensure systems are properly integrated and functioning

System Administration

Perform basic system administration tasks, including:

user access management

permissions and roles

system configuration support

Maintain system health and ensure uptime for critical MSAT applications

Support onboarding of users and systems into the environment

User Support

Provide hands-on support to end users (scientists, engineers, MSAT teams)

Troubleshoot access issues, data issues, and system behavior

Act as a bridge between technical IT teams and business users

Global Support

Support systems used across multiple global sites

Assist with standardizing how systems are configured and supported

Coordinate with site teams to resolve issues and improve consistency

Required Experience

4-8+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or application support

Experience troubleshooting system integrations or system-to-system communication issues

Experience with:

manufacturing or lab systems

data flow between systems

Strong understanding of:

user access management

system configuration and support

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

Strongly Preferred

Experience with:

SIMCA, Statistica, or similar analytics tools

Data historians (OSI PI or similar)

Manufacturing / MSAT / process systems in life sciences

Experience working in GxP or regulated environments

Familiarity with OT / manufacturing environments
