JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is seeking a Junior Azure Software Engineer to support cloud engineering, system integration, and development activities within a federal program.
This role focuses on supporting the stability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based systems while contributing to engineering, integration, and development efforts across Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities
- Support development and integration of Azure-based cloud solutions
- Assist with system integration, verification, and validation activities
- Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, and engineering trade studies
- Support requirements allocation and interface definition for systems
- Monitor and analyze system performance and reliability
- Develop proactive solutions to improve cloud system operations
- Collaborate with engineering and cloud teams to support system enhancements
- Utilize system metrics and trends to improve performance and efficiency

Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or related discipline
- Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
- Understanding of system integration and cloud-based environments

Certifications
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required)
- One or more cloud certifications within 6 months of hire (Azure preferred)

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting federal or defense programs
- Familiarity with Azure cloud services and development environments
- Experience with scripting or automation tools
- Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
- Ability to work in secure, high-compliance environments
