Role Overview
As a Quality Engineer lead, the candidate brings a testing mindset to the team and is responsible for ensuring all testing functions support the delivery of complex software requirements to accomplish business outcomes. This role enforces test and automation strategies, ensures adherence to test frameworks, and leads test planning for complex features. The lead will also monitor test execution, contribute to test data management, and participate in triaging reported issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the testing strategy and processes are followed, with feedback for continuous improvement.
- Enforce test and automation strategies, including the use of test frameworks and best practices.
- Lead test planning for complex features, ensuring alignment and sign-off from stakeholders.
- Optimize test suites using techniques such as risk-based testing.
- Monitor test execution and assist with resolving or escalating issues.
- Contribute to the test data management approach, processes, and tools.
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
- Execute all levels of testing, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts as needed.
- Provide testing knowledge and capabilities as a team leader and individual contributor.
Required Qualifications
Education: Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science or a related Engineering Field.
Experience: 5+ years of QA testing experience, including team lead experience working with multiple teams on a complex application. Functional testing and database testing experience is required.
Technical Skills:- Experience with test automation toolsets such as Selenium or RAFTor, with Java language experience.
- Strong SQL scripting and ETL testing skills.
- Strong background in Agile Methodology and experience with tools like JIRA or ALM/Octane.
- Proficiency in performance testing and automation testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with various testing levels such as unit, integration, functional, regression, and end-to-end system testing.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ADA testing requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and influence others.
