We are seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant to develop, implement, and execute test plans for our software applications. This role involves creating detailed and well-structured test cases, automating tests for both UI and database components, and working collaboratively with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery within an Agile framework. The ideal candidate will take ownership of end-to-end testing and contribute to all phases of the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements.
- Automate test cases for User-Interface (UI) and databases using tools like Selenium or Tosca.
- Build and manage test data required for the execution of test cases.
- Execute manual and automated tests, record results, and track software defects.
- Collaborate with development teams for defect triaging and resolution.
- Perform functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Apply quality principles and ensure adherence to standards throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
Education: A technical Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Math.
Experience: A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in software testing. Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, and ETL technologies. Experience working in the banking domain and with globally distributed teams is required. Familiarity with project lifecycles (SIT, UAT) and hands-on Agile experience are necessary.
Technical Skills:- Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and database changes.
- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium or Tosca.
- Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, including joins.
- Experience with Oracle and Teradata databases.
- Proficiency with Unix commands and scripting.
- Working knowledge of test management software like qTest or Octane.
- Experience with Autosys for job scheduling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-identification and solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Capability to work self-directed to complete assigned activities.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $55.00 and $60.42 per hour.
