Title: Senior Business Analyst (AI/Machine Learning)

Overview:
Work with a leading firm in the healthcare insurance industry (Blue Cross Blue Shield) as a Senior Business Analyst focused on AI and Machine Learning. You will join the FEP (Federal Employee Program) team to help evolve machine learning models built on AWS SageMaker and integrate advanced AI capabilities into business operations. This role is perfect for a proactive BA who thrives in an Agile environment and enjoys translating complex data science concepts into actionable business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to document functional and technical requirements for AI/ML models.
Analyze existing machine learning models (SageMaker) to determine the feasibility of incorporating new AI enhancements.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions within a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment.
Translate business needs into detailed JIRA stories and maintain comprehensive documentation in Confluence.
Support the business team in understanding AI outputs and how they apply to claims processing and customer service operations.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Proven experience in the Healthcare Insurance domain (Blue Cross Blue Shield or FEP experience is highly preferred).
Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing and operations.
Professional experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment using JIRA and Confluence.
High proficiency in standard Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint).
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work independently without heavy supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with AWS SageMaker or AWS Bedrock.
General understanding of Snowflake and how data sources integrate with ML models.
Prior experience with AI-driven anomaly detection or similar automated claims solutions.
Relevant certifications in AI, Machine Learning, or Agile methodologies.
