Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAFe Product Owner to join a dynamic team in the security or banking domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in agile methodologies and a deep understanding of financial services or security systems. This role requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and prioritize the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities, maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of features or components.
- Collaborate with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business priorities.
- Lead the planning of product release plans, Program Increment (PI) planning, and Sprint Planning, setting expectations for the delivery of new functionalities.
- Provide an active role in mitigating team dependencies to support the successful completion of Release/Sprint Goals.
- Adhere to enterprise standards for documentation in software delivery tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Conduct daily scrum calls, planning meetings, and backlog grooming sessions.
- Generate reports using JIRA.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Product Owner in the security or banking domain is required. Candidates must have a prior background in Development (DEV) or Quality Assurance (QA). Experience driving technology-driven projects, coordinating between technical and business partners, and sizing new requirements is necessary.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using JIRA or other agile project management tools is required. A demonstrated ability in writing user stories and managing backlogs is also essential.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.
- Experience in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards affecting the banking or security sectors, such as GDPR or MRA.
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environments.
