Our client seeks a payroll operations professional to support Oracle Fusion implementation testing. The contractor will validate payroll results, perform reconciliations, analyze union and costing data, and execute parallel payroll testing and UAT. The role will collaborate with technology and payroll teams to document defects, resolve discrepancies, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Strong Excel proficiency, payroll accounting knowledge, and general ledger experience will drive accurate outcomes and timely deliverables.

Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $80.00 to $90.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Support payroll operations by performing system validations and reconciliations in Oracle Fusion and related integrations.
  • Test, document, and support testing cycles and defect management processes.
  • Prepare and execute audits related to payroll data system transactions.
  • Analyze payroll union data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze payroll costing data and reconcile with Oracle General Ledger to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform analysis and detailed validations for parallel payroll testing.
  • Collaborate closely with technology and payroll teams to review differences and document resolutions.
  • Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for new system features, enhancements, or integrations.

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience in shared services or payroll operations in a business optimization or systems support capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud HCM or similar ERP platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting payroll processing results and costing in general ledger.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency with large data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience performing data validations, reconciliations, and supporting audits.
  • Attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Background in system testing and UAT coordination (preferred).
  • Familiarity with payroll compliance and regulatory requirements (preferred).
  • Experience generating reports using various reporting tools (preferred).
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality (preferred).
  • Strong organization and follow-up skills with ability to multi-task under pressure (preferred).
