Description: Job DescriptionAbout the RoleIn this contingent resource role, you will contribute to the design, development, and delivery of software engineering initiatives. You'll work on moderately complex technical challenges, assess engineering trade-offs, and support planning efforts for larger engineering deliverables. This role requires strong analytical skills, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
You will review and evaluate technical issues involving multiple variables, propose solutions, and partner with stakeholders to meet project goals. Your work will draw on a solid understanding of engineering best practices, internal policies, and compliance standards. You will also collaborate closely with client engineering teams to ensure successful integration and execution.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the execution of moderately complex software engineering projects and participate in planning activities for larger initiatives.
- Analyze technical challenges, identify root causes, and evaluate solution options based on engineering and business considerations.
- Support incident resolution and provide input to help mitigate recurring issues.
- Apply established engineering processes, standards, and compliance requirements throughout project execution.
- Partner with cross-functional and client engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate across infrastructure and application teams to support platform stability and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent experience gained through professional work, consulting, military service, or education.
Preferred Qualifications- 7+ years of Infrastructure Engineering experience, delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions across Middleware and Messaging environments.
- Deep expertise with IBM MQ ecosystems, including platform administration, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with automation frameworks, operational monitoring, and incident management processes.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering, operations, and business teams.
