We're hiring a Senior Scrum Master for a 12-month contract in Charlotte, NC with one of the nation's leading financial institutions. Contract Duration: 12 Months
Required Skills & Experience - 4+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, with a proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies, guide sprint execution, and support delivery across moderately complex initiatives
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices, including sprint planning, team readiness, prioritization, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
- Experience using Agile metrics such as velocity, predictability, cycle time, and burn up/burn down charts to assess team health and improve performance
- Ability to support Agile delivery while aligning to SDLC, release management, risk, security, compliance, and corporate governance requirements
- Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to partner across product, project, business, and technology teams
- Demonstrated servant leadership mindset with experience removing impediments, protecting team focus, and helping teams deliver consistent business value
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience leading Agile transformations and helping teams transition from Waterfall to Agile ways of working
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or other advanced Agile certifications
- Ability to negotiate, influence, and build strong working relationships across a matrixed organization
- Knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment, and transparency
- Prior success leading multiple Scrum teams simultaneously in a matrixed enterprise environment

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to keep teams aligned, prepared, and accountable
- Track team health and delivery metrics, manage risks and dependencies, and escalate blockers that impact sprint goals or release readiness
- Partner with Product Owners and internal stakeholders to maintain a healthy backlog, prioritize work for maximum business value, and drive continuous improvement across the team
