Technical Project Manager (E-commerce / Retail)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong technical acumen in Python and deep domain experience in eCommerce or Retail technology. You will lead cross-functional delivery of complex software solutions that power digital commerce, retail systems, and integrated customer experiences. The ideal candidate bridges technical and business needs, drives project execution end-to-end, and ensures on-time, high-quality delivery of strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of eCommerce and retail technology projects.
• Translate product and business requirements into actionable technical deliverables and development plans.
• Manage all stages of the SDLC including scoping, estimation, risk planning, sprint planning (Agile), QA coordination, UAT, and production rollout.
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams, product owners, UX/UI, QA, business stakeholders, and external vendors/partners.
• Drive project governance: maintain the roadmap, define milestones, track dependencies, and report status to senior leadership.
• Use data and metrics to improve delivery outcomes, identify bottlenecks, and optimize team performance.
• Mentor and guide technical team members; escalate and eliminate blockers to ensure high productivity.
• Ensure technical decisions align with architectural standards, performance, scalability, and retail business goals.
• Advocate and implement best practices in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), CI/CD, and software quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years of project/program management experience in software delivery, with a significant focus on eCommerce or retail solutions.
• Strong hands-on technical background with Python (used in backend development, scripting, automation, or data workflows).
• Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional technology projects.
• Excellent understanding of eCommerce systems (e.g., OMS, PIM, ERP integrations, storefront platforms, APIs).
• Comfortable working with development teams and understanding technical tradeoffs.
• Solid experience with Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
