Position Overview
Seeking a Senior Master Data Architect to lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. This role will be responsible for architecting large-scale master data platforms, identity resolution frameworks, metadata management solutions, and enterprise data integration strategies.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Informatica technologies, Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Master Data Management (MDM), data modeling, data governance, and enterprise analytics initiatives. This individual will work closely with architects, developers, business analysts, data engineers, and executive stakeholders to establish trusted, governed, and high-quality enterprise data assets.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Master Data Strategy

Design and implement enterprise-scale Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.

Define architecture standards, governance frameworks, and master data strategies.

Establish enterprise-wide data integration and identity resolution architectures.

Develop scalable and secure solutions supporting analytics, reporting, and operational systems.

Align MDM initiatives with broader enterprise information management objectives.
Informatica MDM Solution Architecture

Architect, develop, and support Informatica-based MDM solutions.

Design and implement provider, member, customer, and reference data domains.
-
Configure identity resolution, matching, survivorship, and trusted attribution processes.
-
Lead enhancements, upgrades, and maintenance of MDM application environments.

Ensure solution compliance with enterprise architecture, coding, and security standards.
Data Integration & ETL Development

Design and oversee ETL processes utilizing Informatica PowerCenter and related technologies.

Integrate data from Oracle, Snowflake, and other enterprise platforms.
-
Support large-scale data migration, transformation, and synchronization initiatives.
-
Ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data integration processes.

Collaborate with engineering teams on deployment and operational support.
Metadata & Data Modeling

Develop and maintain enterprise metadata management solutions.

Support metadata loading, management, and governance processes.
-
Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
-
Utilize Erwin, ER/Studio, or equivalent modeling tools.

Partner with data architects and SMEs to document current and future-state data architectures.
Data Governance & Quality

Promote enterprise data governance standards and best practices.

Ensure master data assets are accurate, trusted, governed, and accessible.

Support data quality initiatives and stewardship programs.

Establish controls and monitoring processes to improve data consistency and integrity.

Collaborate with governance teams on compliance and regulatory requirements.
AI & Data Innovation

Develop AI prompt strategies and reusable templates for master data discovery and reporting.

Support AI-enabled analytics and data management initiatives.
-
Validate AI-generated outputs and implement controls to mitigate inaccuracies.
-
Promote responsible AI usage within enterprise data programs.

Stay current with emerging AI, MDM, and data architecture technologies.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership

Partner with business stakeholders, architects, engineers, analysts, and project teams.

Translate technical findings into business-friendly recommendations.

Support multiple enterprise data initiatives simultaneously.

Provide architectural guidance, mentorship, and technical leadership.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to drive successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
Required Experience
-
8+ years of advanced Informatica development and ETL experience.
-
8+ years of experience implementing Enterprise Information Management (EIM) best practices.
-
8+ years of experience designing and implementing Master Data Management solutions.

8+ years of experience developing Informatica PowerCenter solutions.
-
8+ years of experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, or equivalent.

8+ years of experience collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and technical writing skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Experience

Experience as an Oracle DBA.

Experience installing and configuring Informatica Metadata Manager.

Experience architecting large-scale enterprise MDM environments.

Experience within healthcare, government, insurance, or highly regulated industries.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
