Facilities Specialist
Location: Enfield, CT (On-site)
Pay: $25-$27/hour
Type: 2-Month Contract - Could be pushed out to longer or have an opportunity go be a long-term fit, but not guaranteed.

Overview

We are hiring an Facilities Specialist to support a corporate on-site environment in Enfield, CT. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently. You'll help maintain workspaces, assist with furniture and ergonomic setups, and support ongoing facility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform workstation adjustments, furniture assembly, minor repairs, patching, and painting
• Working closely with the Security Team in helping to create badging and credentialing for members in the office
• Conduct employee ergonomic evaluations and recommend equipment adjustments
• Open, track, and close work orders using a ticketing system
• Support preventive maintenance for facility equipment (HVAC, breakroom equipment, UPS monitoring)
• Coordinate with vendors (HVAC, electrical, janitorial, low-voltage)
• Assist with space planning reviews and furniture specifications
• Support tenant improvement and facility-related projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of hands-on facilities, maintenance, or related experience
• Experience with furniture installation, basic construction, or manual labor
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot independently
• High attention to detail with minimal supervision
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing systems furniture (e.g., Steelcase, Herman Miller)
• Familiarity with tools, blueprints, or space plans
• Prior experience in a corporate or office facilities environment

Work Environment

• Fully on-site corporate office setting
• Work includes large meeting rooms and shared employee spaces

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr.
