Job Title: SAP UI5 Front-End Developer (S/4HANA) Location: Onsite 3 days/week
Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Extension likely)
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP UI5 Front-End Developer (not a Fiori-only developer) with strong expertise in building custom UI5 applications within an S/4HANA environment.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing enterprise-grade front-end applications using JavaScript, UI5, HTML5, and CSS, and will work closely with backend ABAP teams to deliver scalable SAP solutions.
Must Have Skills
Strong experience with SAP UI5 (true UI5 Developer not just Fiori configuration)
Hands-on experience in:
JavaScript
HTML5
CSS
Experience building custom UI5 applications from scratch
Experience working in SAP S/4HANA environments
Experience with SAP Business Application Studio (BAS)
Understanding of modularized ABAP code and backend integration
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
Key Responsibilities
UI5 Front-End Development
Design and develop custom SAP UI5 applications (not limited to standard Fiori apps)
Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS
Develop reusable UI components and follow best practices for UI5 architecture
Integration with Backend
Work closely with backend teams to integrate UI5 apps with:
OData services
ABAP-based services
Understand and consume modularized ABAP code and APIs
Solution Design
Translate business requirements into technical UI solutions
Participate in design discussions and provide UI/UX recommendations
Ensure applications meet performance and usability standards
Testing & Support
Perform unit testing and support SIT/UAT cycles
Troubleshoot and fix UI-related defects
Provide production support and enhancements as needed
