Duration: Contract role with potential to convert based on performance
OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager II (P2 - Senior I) to support a large-scale Field Service Delivery (FSD) software implementation within the Business Optimization organization. This role is focused on the implementation of GeoCall (Fielding software), currently in Release 2, replacing an existing field service platform.
The Project Manager will be heavily involved in process optimization, documentation, stakeholder engagement, and change management, supporting field-facing users in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment. This project has been active since 2022, with technical deployment targeted for the end of this year and user deployment next year.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the single point of accountability for a software implementation project
- Drive end-to-end project execution, including scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and deliverables
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with IT, Business Operations, Product Owners, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
- Produce detailed end-to-end process documentation using Microsoft Visio (approximately 60+ process flows)
- Support change management efforts tied to new systems and process adoption
- Facilitate project calls, working sessions, and stakeholder meetings
- Partner with training and business operations teams to support rollout and adoption
- Ensure clear and consistent communication across project teams and leadership
- Manage milestones, risks, and dependencies in a fast-tracked delivery schedule
- Apply standard project management tools and methodologies to ensure successful outcomes
Day-to-Day Activities- Leading project status calls and working sessions
- Developing and updating detailed Visio process flows
- Meeting with SMEs, product owners, and business stakeholders
- Conducting current-state and future-state process discovery
- Coordinating input from end users who are not traditional desk-based workers
- Managing a high volume of details, documentation, and follow-ups
- Navigating ambiguity and driving clarity across complex workflows
Required Qualifications- PMP certification (required)
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 7+ years of true project management experience
- Experience implementing new software or systems (highly preferred)
- Strong background supporting IT projects
- Experience working in large, complex project environments
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Visio (must be able to hit the ground running)
- Familiarity with Agile project delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to coordinate across many stakeholders
Preferred Experience- Project management experience within the utility industry
- Experience supporting field service, mobility, or operations-focused solutions
- Background in systems engineering prior to transitioning into a project management role
- Change management or organizational change management experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft applications
- Exposure to enterprise systems such as GIS, SAP, scheduling, dispatching, or mobility platforms
