Role Overview
We are seeking a medium-to-senior level Workday Integration Developer to support ongoing HR integration and data needs during a period of organizational change and divestiture planning. This role is a hands-on technical contributor embedded within an agile HR Technology team, with a focus on Workday integrations, core HR processes, onboarding/offboarding, and related downstream systems. This position is contract-only, with potential for contract-to-hire consideration in the future.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain Workday integrations, including Core HCM inbound/outbound integrations, benefits, payroll, and retirement vendor feeds, and onboarding/offboarding data flows.
- Support integration formats including EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, and APIs.
- Troubleshoot data formatting, transformation, and delivery issues across third-party vendors and internal platforms.
- Provide technical support for core HR, onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle events.
- Ensure Workday data accuracy and reliability for downstream systems during employee transitions.
- Partner with HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Support compliance-driven integration updates, such as retirement plan, payroll, and benefits changes.
- Participate in regression testing to ensure stability across existing integrations.
- Collaborate with internal HR Technology team members, external vendors, and implementation partners within an agile delivery model.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of Workday integration development experience. Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM integrations, benefits, payroll, and/or retirement integrations, and onboarding/offboarding workflows. Proven ability to debug and resolve complex integration issues. Experience working in staff augmentation or embedded contractor models.
Technical Skills: Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as a team-oriented technical contributor.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting organizations during divestiture, M&A, or large-scale organizational change.
- Exposure to IDMC / Informatica or related data integration platforms.
- Familiarity with secure data handling requirements (e.g., HIPAA-related data constraints) and benefits enrollment and vendor file delivery processes.
- Prior experience supporting or working alongside HR compliance initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay rate range: $70-75.00/hr.
