Job Title: SaaS Project Manager – SaaS Upgrades

Location: Boston, MA (Onsite)

Duration: 06 – 12 Months

Start Date: ASAP

 

Role Summary

Responsible for end-to-end delivery of SaaS upgrade projects across a portfolio of clients, with full ownership of project milestones, deliverables, schedule, and budget. Leads cross-functional teams spanning multiple departments to ensure successful execution of upgrades in line with agreed scope and timelines.

 

Acts as the primary point of accountability for client engagements, overseeing planning, governance, execution, and communication throughout the upgrade lifecycle. Ensures alignment between client expectations and internal delivery teams while proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage end-to-end delivery of SaaS upgrade projects, ensuring adherence to defined milestones, deliverables, timelines, and budget
  • Establish and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead cross-functional project teams composed of internal departments (engineering, operations, QA, infrastructure) and client stakeholders
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear, consistent, and proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Drive project governance, including status reporting, steering updates, and escalation frameworks to ensure timely decision-making
  • Manage stakeholder expectations across scope, schedule, and delivery outcomes, ensuring alignment between business and technical teams
  • Identify, track, and actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation
  • Act as the first level of escalation for project-related issues, coordinating resolution across internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Oversee resource planning and utilization across multiple concurrent projects
  • Ensure adherence to the Charles River Upgrade Methodology and continuously drive improvements based on delivery experience
  • Coordinate with technical leads and delivery teams to ensure readiness for key milestones, including testing, validation, and go-live
  • Monitor and control project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance management
  • Drive high-quality delivery standards, ensuring projects meet client expectations and internal quality benchmarks
  • Facilitate lessons learned and promote reuse of best practices, standard project plans, and delivery artifacts
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and scaling of SaaS delivery practices, tools, and methodologies
  • Leverage collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint and internal platforms) to improve transparency, knowledge sharing, and execution efficiency

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong project management experience delivering complex, enterprise SaaS implementations or upgrades
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery lifecycle management
  • Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in a structured manner
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively at all levels
  • Experience within financial services, investment management, or trading systems is highly preferred
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with a strong focus on delivery and outcomes
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities
  • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail

 

Experience & Education

  • Minimum of 6+ year’s Project Management experience delivering enterprise or SaaS-based solutions
  • Experience leading implementations of Front, Middle, or Back Office investment management systems is highly desirable
  • Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
