Job DescriptionOverviewAn organization is seeking an experienced
Senior Systems Analyst to support the planning, design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of complex reports, dashboards, data extractions, and related data analysis activities for enterprise systems.
This role will focus on developing
operational and compliance-related reports, building dashboards, writing
complex SQL queries, validating recurring data files, analyzing
system errors, reconciling
transaction records, and supporting
data-driven decision-making across business and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, build, and manage complex operational, analytical, and compliance-related reports.
- Identify and evaluate approaches for generating reports, dashboards, and data extraction solutions.
- Write complex SQL queries for data extractions and develop reports using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent reporting tools.
- Use PostgreSQL and other relational databases as data sources for reporting and analysis.
- Identify opportunities to securely share commonly used data with authorized internal and external stakeholders.
- Interpret data and perform analysis to support management decision-making, policy development, and operational review.
- Use database applications and analytical tools to evaluate data quality and maintain reporting operations.
- Analyze business processes and develop data solutions, reports, and dashboards to meet business requirements.
- Perform validation and analysis of recurring data files, transaction records, and system-generated data outputs.
- Review and analyze duplicate identity records, matching logic, and master data management-related data issues.
- Perform system error analysis, validate recurring files, and reconcile transaction records.
- Assist development, operations, and testing teams in analyzing, fixing, testing, and transmitting data files on a daily basis.
- Create data change requests to resolve consumer-reported or system-reported errors.
- Coordinate with technical and business teams to analyze error reports and perform root cause analysis for transaction rejections, data issues, and system errors.
- Access databases and applications as needed to investigate issues and support resolution activities.
- Follow all applicable security, change control, project management, and operational policies, processes, and methodologies.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications- A minimum of five (5) years of experience performing complex data extractions, data analysis, report generation, and dashboard creation.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a complex IT organization developing SQL queries, stored procedures, complex queries, and custom reports.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience developing reports and dashboards using reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent platforms.
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience translating business requirements into effective data visualizations and dashboards.
- Experience establishing and maintaining reporting databases and data warehouses.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional groups.
Preferred Qualifications- A minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on experience designing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and reports.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience developing queries and reports in a PostgreSQL or equivalent database environment.
- A minimum of four (4) years of experience developing complex reports and dashboards using Tableau or equivalent reporting tools.
- Extensive knowledge of data sources, data flows, system interactions, and advanced report design techniques used to develop complex analytical reporting solutions.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards for healthcare, public sector, eligibility, enrollment, benefits administration, or similar enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization, data analysis, and report automation.
- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electronic data interchange concepts and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of eligibility, enrollment, and benefits administration rules and processes.
- Experience analyzing enrollment-related transactions, including additions, terminations, cancellations, and qualifying life events.
Additional Requirements- U.S. citizenship preferred.
- Candidate must be able to pass required security clearance and criminal background checks.
