- Manager has reviewed profiles from multiple vendors
- Many candidates are strong in backend but weak in frontend, which is not a fit
Ideal Candidate- Looking for a full-stack developer, but strong frontend (Angular) skills are the priority
- Backend experience is a nice-to-have, not a requirement
- 10+ years of experience preferred
- Candidate should be able to:
- Read and understand existing codebases
- Refactor and reduce duplicated code
- Mentor and support other developers
- Take a leadership role across the team
Frontend / Angular Details- Angular version: Currently on Angular 20
- Recently migrated from Angular 16 20
- Frontend uses Kendo UI for Angular- Kendo not required
- Meta project had challenges with duplicate code on the frontend
- Role includes:
- Creating pages/features
- Understanding application flow and "discoveries"
- Making design decisions independently
Backend & Data (Secondary Focus)- Backend is built with Spring Boot
- Database: Oracle
- Backend skills help, but frontend leadership is the priority
DevOps / CI-CD- CI/CD experience is a plus
- Automation and pipeline knowledge would help reduce the manager's workload
UX / Design- UX skills are nice to have
- This is an internal application, so:
- Less pressure from picky business users
- Developers have freedom to design pages based on best practices
Must haves:- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Angular 16+ (they are on v20)
- TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Unit testing
- Java/Spring Boot experience is a plus
- Angular Material experience is a plus
Day to Day:-Need to mentor the junior developers
-Work to create, develop, and design pages - UI is not robust since it is an internal application
-Need to have lead experience - senior candidate
-They have 20-22+ pages with lots of duplicate lines of code - needs to be cleaned out and tested
-Using KendoUI library in Angular
-back end services are in Java
-Database is oracle
-Autosys for batch jobs
-CI/CD would be great if they have it
