Metrology Technician | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $75,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Otsego region seeking Metrology Technicians. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and systems.
  • Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and measurement system analyses.
  • Provide technical support and training to production personnel on measurement techniques.
  • Utilize various precision measurement tools, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and vision systems.
  • Analyze measurement data to identify trends and ensure product quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve measurement-related issues.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, performing calibration and measurement tasks.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
  • Demonstrated experience with various metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025).
