Metrology Technician | Paw Paw, MI

Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Paw Paw region seeking Metrology Technicians. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, adjustment, and maintenance of measurement equipment and tools.
  • Document calibration results, maintain equipment records, and manage calibration schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning metrology equipment.
  • Develop and optimize calibration procedures and methods.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
  • Conduct Gage R&R studies and measurement system analysis (MSA).
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in dimensional metrology within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other measurement equipment (e.g., optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
  • Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles and their application.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with calibration procedures and maintaining measurement traceability.
