Reliability Engineer | Otsego, MI

Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Otsego seeking experienced Reliability Engineers. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement reliability strategies to improve equipment uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for chronic and catastrophic equipment failures.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography) to identify potential failures.
  • Optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules based on equipment criticality and failure modes.
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure reliability is built into new equipment and processes.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and maintenance records to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and manage a robust Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
  • Provide technical expertise and training to maintenance technicians on reliability best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, R, Python) for reliability data analysis.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo) for tracking maintenance activities and asset performance.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification.
