Reliability Engineer | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Plainwell that are seeking Reliability Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring issues.
  • Optimize maintenance procedures and recommend design improvements for reliability.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential failure modes.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve asset uptime and reduce costs.
  • Manage and track key reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE).

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)
  • 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on reliability engineering principles
  • Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and tools (e.g., FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)
  • Demonstrated experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis)
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles and lifecycle cost analysis
  • Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems and their application in maintenance and reliability workflows

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R).
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools.
  • Experience with specific CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM).
