Reliability Engineer | Kalamazoo, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $124,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Reliability Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of failures.
  • Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for significant equipment downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and maintainability.
  • Develop and track key reliability metrics to measure improvement and performance.
  • Implement and optimize asset management strategies, including spare parts optimization.
  • Provide technical expertise and training to maintenance technicians on reliability best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce unscheduled downtime and increase asset lifespan.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or similar certification.
  • Experience with advanced predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., AI/ML-driven analytics, drone inspections).
  • Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis and automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior engineers or cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, medical devices, automotive).
