Role Overview
This position is for an Electrical Engineer focused on production hardware. The role involves supporting the manufacturing and testing of complex electronic assemblies. The engineer will work on-site, applying technical skills to address production challenges, perform root-cause analysis, and ensure product integrity while collaborating across various teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support manufacturing and testing of digital, analog, RF, and mixed-signal circuit card assemblies and electro-mechanical systems.
- Conduct and document root-cause corrective action investigations.
- Interpret electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and Bills of Materials (BoMs) to support production.
- Utilize standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, and power supplies for testing and debugging.
- Assist in implementing and performing tasks for MIL-STD-882E compliant system safety programs.
- Analyze engineering hardware and electrical drawings for fault tolerance and safety compliance.
- Collaborate with integrated product teams to eliminate hazards or implement effective controls.
- Assist in preparing Safety Assessment Reports and program safety briefings for customer review.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant professional work experience is required.
Technical Skills:- Experience in testing or debugging complex circuit card assemblies or electro-mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and function generators.
- Ability to interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and BoMs.
- Experience in root-cause corrective action investigations.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain a DOD Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous production support engineering experience.
- Experience in the electrical engineering design of CCA, EO, RF, or sensor subsystems.
- Familiarity with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, MATLAB, CST, HFSS, or ADS.
- Experience with subsystem integration and test, post-test flight analysis, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods.
- Capability to work independently and provide technical oversight and direction.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range for this position is between $30-65/hour depending on years of experience and the level at which you qualify for the Electrical Engineering team.
