Role Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with digital electronics design and analysis skills to join our team. The role involves collaborating with engineers to design digital electronics circuits for missile guidance, video, and digital signal processing, utilizing high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and multiprocessor designs. This position requires working within a collaborative team environment on cutting-edge technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for missile applications.
- Develop hardware designs incorporating processors, FPGAs, memory, and standard industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level through to the development of a complete hardware design.
- Verify designs through comprehensive testing and integration processes.
- Utilize tools for schematic capture, analysis, and simulation to validate designs prior to hardware fabrication.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology will also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in digital circuit design is required. This must include experience in at least two of the following areas: development and design of electronic circuit designs; taking a design concept from block diagram to complete hardware design and verification; or experience with the PCB design process and related design and simulation tools.
Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain DOD interim Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with embedded test techniques, design for test, design margin analysis, and design for production.
- Proficiency with Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA) tools such as DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, and Xilinx tools (Zynq Ultrascale, Vivado).
- Experience using PCB design software like HyperLynx for signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, as well as Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB).
- Experience leading a program transition from development into production.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical and schedule risks and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Knowledge of cost and schedule development and management.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $86.00 and $96.00 per hour. Compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to skills, experience, and location. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
