Role Overview
An opportunity is available for an Electrical Engineer with digital electronics design and analysis skills. This role involves collaboration with an engineering team to generate and utilize technology for designing digital electronics circuits that implement missile guidance, video, and digital signal processing. The technology base includes high-speed digital electronics, configurable logic, and homogeneous or heterogeneous multiprocessor designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform design, analysis, simulation, test, and integration of digital electronic modules and/or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs) for missile applications.
- Work with hardware designs involving processors, FPGAs, memory, and industry interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Take a design concept from the block diagram or requirements level to the development of a complete hardware design.
- Verify designs via test and integration.
- Collaborate within a team environment.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required. Degrees in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology will also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of two years of engineering experience in digital circuit design is required. Experience in the development and design of electronic circuit designs, multi-assembly systems, or processor designs is a plus.
Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain DOD interim Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the PCB design process and expertise in tools for schematic capture, analysis, and simulation.
- Experience using Mentor Graphics Design Creation (Siemens EDA) tools, including DxDesigner, xDX Designer VX, and Expedition.
- Experience with Mentor Graphics (Siemens EDA) PCB electronic circuit design software, such as HyperLynx for signal integrity, power integrity, and analog simulation, as well as Xpedition Enterprise (xPCB).
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $70.00 and $80.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
