This role focuses on building software that interacts with real-world optical systems, supporting system simulation, automation, diagnostics, and secure network services used in mission-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software for fiber optic communication systems
- Translate system requirements into scalable, reusable software features
- Develop and support secure RESTful and OpenConfig API services
- Build automated unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability
- Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities
- Support system simulation and correlate software performance with physical optical behavior
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to improve system functionality and reliability
- Participate in ongoing system maintenance and operational support
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optical Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of fiber optic communication systems and physical system behavior
- Proficiency in C++, C#, SQL, and modern web technologies (ReactJS preferred)
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, OpenConfig/Open API standards, and Linux (Red Hat preferred)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks and source control systems
- Understanding of software security fundamentals and secure coding practices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a technical environment
