The Business Systems Consultant will support moderately complex technology and data initiatives. This role involves analyzing business and data challenges, developing user tools, and supporting large-scale planning and delivery efforts. The consultant will use advanced SQL skills and Jira documentation experience to support data-driven solutions, collaborate with client personnel, and ensure alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and support moderately complex business systems and data initiatives.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for large-volume and data warehouse environments.
- Create and maintain Jira documentation, user stories, and delivery artifacts.
- Support user tool development for operational and analytical use cases.
- Collaborate with business partners, analysts, and technology teams.
- Review requirements and translate them into actionable system or data solutions.
- Assist with issue resolution and contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of Business Systems Data or Technology Business Systems Consulting experience, supporting moderately complex initiatives.
- Advanced SQL expertise working with large-volume data and enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Experience with Jira, including documentation, tracking requirements, and supporting delivery workflows.
- User tool development experience, supporting business and operational teams.
- Ability to analyze moderately complex business systems challenges and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver compliant solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Financial crimes domain knowledge.
- Financial services or banking industry experience.
- Experience working with compliance-driven or regulated data environments.
Compensation & Benefits
The pay rate for this position is between $46.00 and $49.00 per hour. The contract duration is 6 months with the possibility of extension or conversion to a direct hire role.
