Systems Analyst – Long-Term Contract

Location: Austin, Texas

We are seeking a Systems Analyst for a long-term contract opportunity in Austin, TX. This role supports multiple projects and works closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to analyze requirements, enhance system capabilities, and ensure successful delivery of solutions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee one or more projects concurrently, including evaluating current and future system capabilities and researching solution alternatives
• Participate in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with business users and IT staff to define business and system requirements
• Communicate effectively with users to gather requirements for new processes, applications, and enhancements to existing systems
• Perform system configuration and document business processes with strong attention to detail
• Prepare detailed project and technical documentation
• Utilize standardized project management processes, tools, and techniques to support project delivery
• Develop test artifacts and conduct testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Create training and user support documentation
• Work closely with development teams to track defects and ensure timely resolution
• Perform in-depth technical and analytical reviews to evaluate system functionality
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Assist in creating, maintaining, and enforcing organizational standards
• Perform analysis and documentation tasks to support project initiatives
• Diagnose application issues and write detailed specifications for system enhancements or fixes
• Perform additional duties as needed to support ongoing operations

Qualifications

Required Experience

• 4+ years of experience with system integrations and data exchange interfaces
• 4+ years of proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and Visio
• 4+ years of experience performing data analysis across multiple source systems and database technologies using SQL
• 4+ years of experience with data mapping and data transformation
• 4+ years of exposure to interface and architecture design and documentation
• 4+ years of experience translating business requirements into technical specifications
• 4+ years of experience working within data warehouse environments to define data visualization requirements
• 4+ years of experience creating detailed test cases and test scenarios
• 4+ years of experience with end-to-end systems validation
• 4+ years of experience developing System Integration Testing (SIT) and UAT test plans
• 4+ years of experience working on data warehouse teams, including relational and dimensional models (DB2 experience preferred)
• 4+ years of experience translating requirements into data visualization solutions
• 4+ years of experience working with XML, JSON, and API-based integrations
• 4+ years of familiarity with REST and SOAP services and secure data exchange methods (SFTP, digital certificates)

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of experience with unemployment insurance (UI) or workforce systems
• 2+ years of familiarity with SIDES modules (EVF, ADF, DD, BC, MPC)
• 2+ years of working knowledge of the Natural programming language
• 2+ years of experience delivering solutions in a public sector environment
