Description

Role Overview

The Technical Project Manager IV supports internal engineering groups, primarily teams involved in construction-focused engineering tools. This role partners closely with development teams and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technical programs end-to-end. The TPM will oversee 5-6 scrum teams simultaneously (no direct people management), drive execution, and maintain accountability across multiple workstreams.

This opening is to replace a resource who struggled with leadership presence and forward-facing communication. The role requires strong camera presence, confidence, and the ability to lead discussions and maintain momentum.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate technical implementation and deployment of software programs across multiple engineering teams.
  • Create and manage detailed project plans with interdependencies across teams and systems.
  • Track development progress through production deployment and ensure delivery milestones are met.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, monitor sprint performance, and drive cross-team alignment.
  • Maintain project artifacts, requirements documentation, dashboards, and status updates.
  • Provide clear communication to engineers, stakeholders, and leadership, including executive-level reporting.
  • Navigate competing priorities, negotiate realistic timelines, and remove blockers to maintain delivery velocity.
  • Support operational excellence and continuous improvement across the technical organization.

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

Technical & Agile Delivery
  • ~7 years of experience in software development or technical project delivery.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, SDLC, and end-to-end software delivery.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable project plans.
  • Expertise with:
  • Jira (boards, workflows, reporting)
  • Confluence (documentation, requirements, artifacts)
  • Smartsheet (project plans, dashboards, tracking)
  • Excel / PowerPoint for data visualization and presentations

Project & Program Management
  • Skilled in dependency management, risk mitigation, issue tracking, and scope management.
  • Experience working within large, distributed, or matrixed technical organizations.
  • Proven ability to drive accountability across multiple scrum teams.
  • Strong capability to create and maintain executive-ready reporting and dashboards.

Leadership & Communication
  • Strong leadership presence; must be comfortable being forward-facing on camera.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills.
  • Ability to motivate teams, manage conflict, build relationships, and foster alignment.
  • Demonstrates urgency, curiosity, and proactive problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent project management certifications.
  • Exposure to AI/ML concepts and enterprise applications (nice to have).
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments or complex technical programs.
  • Proven success leading multiple development teams and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
