Description We are looking for an experienced Product Architect who will be responsible for the operational ownership and continuous improvement of enterprise Pricing and Promotions solutions. This includes contributing to product roadmap planning, driving innovation initiatives, writing and refining user stories, guiding solution design and development, supporting deployment activities, and assisting with ongoing user support and value optimization efforts.
The Product Architect works within an agile delivery environment alongside internal team members and external partners, collaborating closely with cross-functional product, business, and technology teams across multiple regions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional and technical expertise related to enterprise Pricing and Promotions platforms to business and technology stakeholders.
- Participate in pricing and rebate initiatives from concept through implementation and value realization, partnering with vendors, implementation teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Execute backlog items as prioritized by leadership, including features, user stories, incidents, change requests, and value optimization initiatives.
- Develop user stories, cost estimates, solution designs, training materials, and system documentation.
- Support development, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live activities.
- Assist with change management, support tickets, automated test case development, and ongoing product enhancements.
- Collaborate with other product and technology teams based on evolving priorities.
- Follow Agile and SDLC practices to ensure consistent and transparent execution across product areas.
- Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, security requirements, and modern data/analytics practices.
- Track product performance and support value realization efforts.
- Ensure product-related SLAs and operational metrics are achieved.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable Pricing & Promotions solutions.
Requirements Requirements
- Detailed knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or external Pricing & Promotions systems, including integration and development experience across modules/systems (5+ years).
- Experience with SAP CRM and TPM promotions management.
- Strong hands-on experience configuring pricing solutions, including building or modifying pricing procedures and condition types.
- Solid understanding of Pricing & Promotions processes, including waterfall pricing techniques, promotional pricing structures, and legal/regulatory considerations around pricing.
- Knowledge of Order-to-Cash lifecycle in SAP S/4.
- Experience with DSD handheld delivery processing and integrations is a plus.
- Experience with third-party pricing or promotion tools (e.g., Flintfox, Pricefx, Vendavo, or similar).
- Applicable SAP S/4 experience including configuration, coding, and design across areas such as:
- Order-to-Cash configuration for new deployments and strong understanding of OTC processes and pricing structures within enterprise ERP systems.
- Standard pricing configuration
- Integration with Accounts Receivable
- Integration with DSD or delivery software solutions
- Production support experience for SAP Pricing & Promotions solutions.
- Ability to take a solution from conceptual stage through detailed design and execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead small teams (2-5 team members) and guide development resources.
- Experience within the CPG or retail industry is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction and quickly learn new technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and high customer-service mindset.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated consistent strong performance and willingness to go beyond expectations.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
