Role Overview
We are seeking a senior-level engineer to perform assignments ranging from limited scope to advanced projects requiring expertise in multiple engineering disciplines. This role involves increasing independence, assisting with project management, and focusing on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations. The position serves as an extension of the engineering team, ensuring designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term performance goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, balancing cost, reliability, and performance.
- Lead technical teams and oversee the development of designs, permitting, and compliance for energy infrastructure.
- Conduct detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications for power delivery projects.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and engage in decision-making, technical analysis, and project coordination.
- Bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, applying best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage stakeholder negotiations to ensure technical compliance and project success.
- Perform specialized engineering functions in areas such as Electrical/I&C, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or MOV Valve engineering as required.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
Experience: 11 to 15 years of relevant experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Knowledge of engineering principles in one or more of the following areas: electric distribution systems, power systems, ladder logic, ETAP, EDISON, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, pipe stress analysis, ASME standards, seismic qualification, pipe supports, GT Strudel, welding, rigging, and MOV valve diagnostics.
Other Requirements: A valid driver's license is required. Monthly travel to Juno Beach will be necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- A Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
