Role Overview
This role is responsible for performing engineering assignments ranging from limited scope to advanced projects that require expertise in multiple disciplines. The position involves working with increasing independence based on experience, focusing on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations. The engineer will assist with project management, negotiations, and performance reporting, serving as an extension of the engineering team to ensure designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term reliability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, balancing cost, reliability, and performance.
- Engage in decision-making, technical analysis, project coordination, and engineering oversight.
- Support detailed technical assessments, engineering design reviews, and compliance verifications.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and lead technical teams as required.
- Oversee design development, permitting, and compliance for energy infrastructure.
- Bridge the gap between conceptual engineering and field execution, applying best practices.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and negotiations to ensure technical compliance and project success.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
Experience: 11 to 15 years of experience leading engineering teams and providing oversight for major energy infrastructure projects.
Technical Skills: Experience with Word is required. A valid, non-restricted driver's license is necessary as driving is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification is preferred.
- Specialized knowledge in Electrical/I&C, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or MOV Valve engineering.
- Familiarity with computational tools such as ETAP or EDISON.
- Experience with ASME standards, pipe stress analysis, or seismic qualification.
Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay range for this position is $55.00 per hour to $60.61 per hour. Please note that this pay range is a good faith estimate that may be impacted by factors such as the candidate's qualifications, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time.
