Metrology Technician | Jenison, MI

Salary Range: $57,000 - $84,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with multiple companies in Jenison seeking experienced Metrology Technicians. These organizations value long-term fit and are looking for professionals who bring both skill and alignment. By joining our network, you gain access to opportunities tailored to your goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair measurement instruments and systems.
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures and schedules.
  • Analyze measurement data and generate calibration reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration activities and equipment status.
  • Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on measurement techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, performing calibration and measurement tasks.
  • Proficient in the use of various metrology equipment, including CMMs, vision systems, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with calibration software and data management systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with automated measurement systems (e.g., CMM programming and operation).
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) methodologies and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Prior experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Certified Calibration Technician (CCT).
