  • Design, code, test, debug, and document FIX-based integration services and APIs.
  • Own the onboarding of new FIX connections, including certification, testing, and production readiness.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot FIX session health, latency, and message integrity.
  • Analyze logs and perform message-level debugging to resolve production issues.
  • Collaborate with counterparties to resolve connectivity, mapping, and protocol issues.
  • Define and influence engineering standards and best practices for large-scale technology solutions.
  • Mentor other engineers and provide technical leadership across the team.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or an equivalent combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with the FIX protocol, including session and application layers, message structure, and session management.
  • 5+ years of experience onboarding new FIX connections, including certification testing, conformance, and go-live coordination with counterparties.
  • 5+ years of experience designing and building integration services and APIs.
  • 2+ years of experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership.
  • Ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and diagnose FIX session issues such as sequence gaps, heartbeat failures, and message rejections.
  • Strong understanding of trading workflows, including orders, executions, allocations, and confirmations.
  • Experience collaborating directly with counterparty technical teams to resolve connectivity and message-mapping issues.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals relevant to FIX connectivity (TCP, TLS, firewall rules).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with .NET, trading platforms, or market data systems.
  • Strong software development background in C#, Java, or Python.
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and container platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub-based workflows, and modern developer tooling.
  • Knowledge of application security practices and vulnerability scanning tools such as SonarQube.
  • Experience with UI and E2E testing frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call or rotational production support.
