Strong background in enterprise, highly available, mission-critical environments.Experience with systems administration, automation, incident management, and cross-functional engineering collaboration.PlussesExpertise in complex middleware ecosystem troubleshooting.Experience supporting enterprise operational readiness, DR/HA configurations, and performance tuning.Ability to implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and monitoring.Familiarity with regulated industry standards, audit readiness, and infrastructure controls.Strong understanding of security, compliance, and operational policy requirements within software engineering environments.Job SummaryIn this contingent assignment, the Software Engineer 3 will participate in moderately complex Software Engineering initiatives, focusing on enterprise Infrastructure Engineering across middleware and messaging platforms. The engineer will review, analyze, and resolve multi-faceted engineering challenges spanning IBM MQ, Kafka, Solace, and other enterprise messaging systems.
The role contributes to large-scale planning, incident response, platform automation, configuration management, and ongoing stability of mission-critical integrations. The engineer will collaborate across technology teams, align with policy and compliance requirements, and ensure reliable delivery of Software Engineering commitments supporting enterprise systems.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Consult on and participate in moderately complex infrastructure and software engineering initiatives.
- Support delivery of enterprise-scale Middleware & Messaging solutions (IBM MQ, ACE/IIB, Kafka, Solace).
- Conduct engineering analysis for moderately complex platform issues requiring deep evaluation of variable factors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in highly available, mission-critical systems.
- Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance for middleware platforms.
- Support automation initiatives across provisioning, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Partner with cross-functional engineering, operations, and application teams to meet platform requirements.
- Maintain adherence to policy, compliance, operational procedures, and security guidelines.
- Document engineering processes, standard operating procedures, and platform configurations.
- Support change management, incident management, and root-cause analysis efforts.
- Collaborate with client personnel to ensure alignment and continuity across Software Engineering deliverables.
