Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Management Consultant (Level 1 Associate) to support the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical infrastructure and grid-related projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with a background in electrical engineering or related utility/energy experience who are looking to grow within large-scale energy and utility programs.
The consultant will collaborate with engineering teams, operations, vendors, and compliance stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with regulatory and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project execution across electrical infrastructure, transmission, substation, and grid compliance programs.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and action tracking using project management tools.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, operations, vendors, and compliance stakeholders.
- Track project risks, issues, budgets, and deliverables while supporting change management activities.
- Prepare status reports, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings, coordination sessions, and occasional site visits as required.
- Assist in ensuring project deliverables meet regulatory, operational, and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0 5 years of experience in project management, engineering support, or utility/energy-related projects.
- Electrical Engineering degree preferred or equivalent experience in power/utility environments.
- Exposure to grid compliance programs, transmission lines, substations, or power infrastructure.
- Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams within large infrastructure programs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in regulated utility environments or grid compliance programs such as NERC.
- Field exposure to substation or transmission assets.
- Experience working in consulting or contract-based project environment
