Role Overview:
The Business Analyst (BA) will serve as the functional bridge between business operations and technical infrastructure. This role requires a professional with deep domain expertise in the fitness and wellness industry, specifically regarding "club-side" operations. The primary objective is to evaluate business needs and translate them into system requirements that optimize membership management, facility operations, and revenue integrity.
Key Responsibilities
System Optimization: Act as the subject matter expert for Club Management Systems (CMS), ensuring system configurations align with industry best practices for billing, member access control, and service scheduling.
Operational Analysis: Conduct comprehensive reviews of front-of-house and back-of-house workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose scalable technical solutions.
Requirements Documentation: Elicit and document detailed functional specifications, user stories, and process maps that translate operational needs into actionable technical roadmaps.
Integration & Vendor Management: Facilitate technical alignment between third-party wellness technology vendors and existing internal platforms to ensure data integrity and seamless user experiences.
Member Journey Mapping: Analyze the technical touchpoints of the member lifecycle from lead generation and CRM entry to billing cycles and retention efforts to improve overall system performance.
Required Experience & Skills
Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 5 years of experience in the fitness, wellness, or hospitality sector. Prior experience in club-level operations for high-volume fitness brands is essential.
Business Analysis Core Competencies: Proven track record in requirements gathering, Gap Analysis, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for enterprise-level systems.
Domain Knowledge: Advanced proficiency with industry-standard platforms (e.g., ABC Fitness, ClubReady, or similar CMS) and integrated CRM ecosystems.
Financial Logic: Understanding of the technical logic behind fitness-specific billing models, including EFT cycles, membership freezes, and payment reconciliation.
Professional Communication: Demonstrated ability to communicate complex system architecture to executive stakeholders and operational leads.
