The OpportunityWe are partnering with organizations in Traverse City that are seeking Electrical Engineers. Key Responsibilities- Designs, tests, and commissions electrical systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Develops and maintains electrical schematics, control diagrams, and documentation.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex electrical issues on production lines.
- Implements and optimizes PLC programs for automated manufacturing processes.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams on new product introductions and process improvements.
- Ensures compliance with electrical safety standards and industry regulations.
- Participates in the selection, installation, and maintenance of electrical components and instrumentation.
Recommended Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical design, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMI development.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, motor controls, and power distribution.
- Experience with robotic systems and automation in a production setting.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with robotics or automation systems.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
- PLC programming experience (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley).
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET).
