Job Title: Application Management Engineer (Multi-Application Support)Location: Charlotte, NC - (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)Contract Length: 18 months (potential extension and/or conversion)Pay Rate: $53 - $57Top Requirements:5+ years experience across all core technical areas: cloud migration, monitoring, configuration, certificates, infrastructure services, Linux, user migration.Cloud migration expertise, including data center to cloud transitions.Application monitoring skills using Splunk, Sploc, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics.Hands-on configuration & troubleshooting of load balancers, web servers, Tomcat, and application servers.Certificate management experience (Venafi, SSH keys, authentication protocols).Plusses:Experience supporting enterprise-scale or finance environments.Exposure to regulated, complex environments.Strong documentation, process discipline, and cross-team communication skills.Job Summary:This contingent Application Management Engineer role supports moderately complex Software Engineering initiatives across multiple applications within the Controllers Division of Finance. The engineer will serve as a hands-on technical generalist-supporting infrastructure, application, cloud, security, and operations functions-and will partner closely with development, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams. The role helps ensure availability, performance, stability, and modernization of various enterprise applications, including cloud migrations, monitoring, authentication, certificate management, and shared infrastructure services. This is a highly technical, broad-scope engineering role ideal for candidates with strong adaptability and broad market-relevant technology experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Provide end-to-end multi-application support across several platforms.
- Troubleshoot issues across application, server, infrastructure, and network layers.
- Lead and support cloud and data center migration initiatives.
- Configure and manage monitoring tools such as Splunk, Sploc, ThousandEyes, AppDynamics.
- Set up and troubleshoot load balancers, web servers, Tomcat, and application servers.
- Manage certificates and authentication mechanisms using Venafi, SSH protocols, and authentication keys.
- Support shared infrastructure services including APIs, file transfers, S3/object storage, databases, NDMs.
- Work with Linux/Unix environments, including file system operations and shell scripting.
- Support user migrations across AD-ENT, Azure AD, Ping, OAuth2 identity systems.
- Collaborate with security, cloud, and development teams to maintain system stability and performance.
- Participate in cloud modernization, monitoring configuration, and operational readiness initiatives.
