The OpportunityWe are collaborating with multiple companies in Kentwood seeking experienced Metrology Technicians. Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and systems.
- Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation.
- Conduct measurement system analysis (MSA) including Gauge R&R studies.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on measurement techniques.
- Maintain calibration records and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, performing dimensional inspections.
- Proficient in the use of various metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and ability to interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with metrology software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
- Ability to perform gauge calibration and maintain calibration records.
