The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Byron Center seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and systems.
- Develop and validate new measurement processes and techniques.
- Analyze measurement data and generate reports to support quality control.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and equipment documentation.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel on measurement best practices.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, performing calibration and measurement tasks.
- Proficient in using a wide range of metrology tools (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, optical comparators).
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical specifications.
Bonus Qualifications- CMM programming experience (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
- Experience with vision systems and optical comparators
- Familiarity with GD&T principles and their application
- Calibration experience for various measurement tools and equipment
