The OpportunityWe partner with manufacturers across Caledonia seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities- Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Develop and maintain calibration procedures and documentation in accordance with quality standards.
- Analyze measurement data and generate reports to support product quality and process improvement.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to resolve measurement-related issues.
- Conduct Gage R&R studies and measurement system analyses (MSA) to validate measurement processes.
Recommended Qualifications- Associate's degree in Metrology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years experience as a Metrology Technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and other metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparators, calipers, micrometers).
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and their application.
- Ability to interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Experience with metrology software for data analysis and reporting.
Bonus Qualifications- Experience with automated measurement systems (e.g., CMM programming).
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis software.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and application.
- Experience with calibration and preventative maintenance of metrology equipment.
