Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Security Administrator to join our team on a Contract with potential for permanent employment in Taunton, Massachusetts. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and safeguarding system hardware, software, and network infrastructure while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will play a key role in maintaining cybersecurity measures, mitigating threats, and implementing proactive solutions to enhance our IT environment.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
Provide comprehensive support for server operating systems, virtualization platforms, backups, antivirus solutions, and user environments.
Configure and maintain network infrastructure devices, including routers, firewalls, switches, servers, load balancers, and intrusion detection systems.
Manage cloud services and Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Server.
Safeguard the integrity and security of systems and networks, implementing robust measures for firewalls, storage solutions, and backup systems.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for systems and networks, adhering to organizational cybersecurity frameworks.
Conduct system analysis to ensure compatibility with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
Deliver training sessions on applications and systems for staff and IT team members.
Monitor systems daily, respond to security alerts, and address threats using advanced tools.
Research and implement automated approaches to streamline system administration tasks.
Requirements
Proven experience in cybersecurity, including application and enterprise security.
Proficiency in managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools.
Strong knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
Expertise in configuring and maintaining Microsoft technologies such as Active Directory and Exchange Server.
Familiarity with virtualization platforms and cloud services.
Ability to develop technical documentation and adhere to established frameworks.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to respond promptly to security threats.
Strong communication and training skills for delivering technical concepts to diverse teams.
