JDE Functional Consultant

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a JD Edwards Functional Consultant in Armonk, NY.

Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on JD Edwards Functional Consultant to support and stabilize a legacy, customized JDE ERP solution in a production environment. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, document and translate business needs into functional specs, and drive configuration and process improvements while operating within the constraints of an older/custom footprint. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in -keep-the-lights-on- mode-supporting critical business operations, navigating custom objects and integrations, and distinguishing functional vs. technical issues-while improving documentation and reducing operational risk.

Candidates should have deep functional strength in one or more:
* Finance (e.g., GL/AP/AR/FA) or Manufacturing functional support (explicitly called out as acceptable functional backgrounds)
* Additionally valuable: Distribution (e.g., Inventory, Procurement, Sales Order), especially where -Distribution Suite- modules are in scope
* Serve as a functional SME for JDE, owning incident triage, functional troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution coordination across business and IT
* Analyze whether issues are functional/process vs. technical/infrastructure, and route appropriately to development/CNC teams
* Manage priorities across multiple tickets, balancing speed, risk, and business impact in a live environment

Business Partnership & Functional Delivery:
* Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements
* Translate business needs into system requirements and functional specifications for fixes and enhancements
* Recommend process improvements and system configurations that reduce manual effort and increase reliability

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong hands-on experience as a JD Edwards Functional Consultant supporting business-critical processes (production support + enhancements)
* Proven ability to analyze requirements, write functional specs, and drive solutions with cross-functional teams
* Excellent troubleshooting mindset-able to operate in a legacy/custom environment with imperfect documentation
* Strong communication skills: can translate between business users and technical teams and provide clear status updates

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
