Metrology Technician | Allendale, MI

Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We partner with manufacturers across Allendale seeking Metrology Technicians who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and repair of precision measuring equipment.
  • Utilize a variety of metrology tools and software to ensure product quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Conduct dimensional inspections and analyze measurement data to identify trends and process variations.
  • Document calibration procedures, measurement results, and equipment maintenance records accurately.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement discrepancies and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain a clean and organized metrology lab, ensuring proper storage and handling of sensitive equipment.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Assurance, or a related technical field.
  • 2-4 years of experience as a Metrology Technician in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating and programming CMMs, optical comparators, and other metrology equipment.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in measurement.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
