Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and analyzing application requirements from various agencies and translating them into detailed specifications for developers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience working with development teams, and the ability to manage complex requirements in a hybrid waterfall and agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, assess, and evaluate client application requirements from multiple stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specification documents for the development team.
- Create wireframes and assist with application add-ons and enhancements.
- Serve as a liaison between clients, government stakeholders, and the development team, ensuring clear and constant communication.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve problems in selected functional areas.
- Coordinate work with developers and testers to ensure solutions meet client needs.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and prepare presentations for application demonstrations.
- Perform database queries to troubleshoot problems and suggest database design changes to support proposed solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 9 years of experience as a business or systems analyst. Demonstrated experience working directly with developers and involvement in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required. Experience with government clients is beneficial.
Skills: Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience creating specification documents and proficiency with tools such as Jira and Balsamiq is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with HTML.
- Familiarity with web-based application development environments.
